About OFT Political Endorsements:
- OFT endorsements are determined by candidate questionnaires, experience, and (where applicable) past legislative voting record.
- OFT endorsements must be passed by a majority vote of OFT’s Executive Council, which is composed of member leaders from every OFT local union.
- Member dues money is not used to support OFT endorsed candidates. Political funds come from separate, voluntary donations to a union COPE (Committee on Political Education) Fund. If you are an OFT member who is interested in contributing to a COPE fund, contact your local leadership.
