Educators endorse FitzGerald, others to lead Ohio to a better economy

The educators, bus drivers, classroom aides, sign language interpreters, higher education faculty, school safety personnel, support staff and social workers who are members of the Ohio Federation of Teachers announced endorsements for statewide offices.

OFT endorsed for Governor Ed FitzGerald. for Secretary of State Nina Turner, for Auditor John Patrick Carney, for Attorney General David Pepper and for Treasurer Connie Pillich.

"Our members and the children they serve have struggled far too long in Ohio's fractured economy. Ohioans need good jobs to support their families and stabilize our communities. These candidates have proven by their actions as elected officials in other roles that they have the ability to raise up Ohio and bring this state and its citizens back to a more promising future," said OFT President Melissa Cropper.

OFT also endorsed one of its own, Steve Holecko who is running for state representative in District 14 in Cuyahoga County. Holecko is a retired teacher and OFT member from Berea.
